INNOVATIONS IN AEROSPACE TECHNOLOGY: 10 MILLION PATENTS AND BEYOND (NASM), July 20, 2018, DC, 1:00-2:30 pm ET

The National Air and Space Museum (NASM) and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) will host a panel discussion on July 20, 2018 from 1:00-2:30 pm ET at the NASM, 600 Independence Ave., SW, Washington, DC on “Innovations in Aerospace Technology: 10 Million Patents and Beyond.”

Speakers are:

  • Ellen Stofan, John and Adrienne Mars Director, National Air and Space Museum
  • Andrei Iancu, Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office
  • David Wolf, astronaut (moderator)

“Moderated by astronaut David Wolf, the museum’s director and the director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office will explore the dynamic innovations of the aerospace industry and the pioneering inventors who laid the groundwork for future exploration. As part of the celebration of the issuance of U.S. patent 10 million, the speakers will look at significant historic aerospace patents and discuss the future of aviation and space technology and the role of intellectual property in encouraging and protecting new inventions and innovations.”
