ISS CHANGE OF COMMAND CEREMONY, Apr 18, 2025, Earth orbit, 2:40 pm ET

On April 18, 2025 at 2:40 pm ET, a change-of-command ceremony will take place on the International Space Station (ISS) as Russian cosmonaut Aleksey Ovchinin turns over command to JAXA astronaut Takuya Onishi.

Ovchinin and his two Soyuz MS-26 crewmates, cosmonaut Ivan Vagner and NASA astronaut Don Pettit, will return to Earth on April 20. Their replacements on Soyuz MS-27 will launch and arrive on April 8.
