KEY NON-POLAR LUNAR DESTINATIONS FOR HUMAN EXPLORATION (Natl Acad), May 7-9, 2025, DC

Update, May 4:  The meeting will take place at the Keck Center, 500 5th St. NW, Washington, DC and open sessions will be livestreamed.  The agenda is posted.  Open sessions are on May 7 and 8.

Original Entry: The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine are beginning a new NASA-sponsored study on “Key Non-Polar Destinations Across the Moon to Address Decadal-level Science Objectives with Human Explorers.”

The first open meeting of the committee is scheduled for May 7-9, 2025. As of April 19, details on location, schedule, etc. were not posted.

The committee is chaired by Prof. of Geosciences James Day, University of California, San Diego.  The co-chair is Prof. of Engineering Practice Dan Dumbacher, Purdue (former Executive Director of AIAA, former NASA).
