NASA will hold a briefing at Johnson Space Center, TX on April 26, 2018 at 10:00 am ET (9:00 am local time) to showcase the progress it is making on building the Orion spacecraft, which is designed for human deep space exploration to the Moon and beyond. Steps being taken to test and develop technologies for the Lunar Orbital Platform-Gateway will also be discussed.
The briefing will air live on NASA TV and NASA Live.
Participants are:
- Ellen Ochoa, Johnson Space Center (JSC) director
- Vanessa Wyche, director of JSC’s Exploration Integration and Science directorate
- Annette Hasbrook, assistant manager for Orion Program integration
- Jenny Devolites, Ascent Abort-2 crew module deputy manager
- Nicole Mann, NASA astronaut
Media at the event will be able to tour facilities and view projects associated with JSC’s deep space human exploration program after the briefing.
