NASA/BOEING UPDATE ON STARLINER CREW FLIGHT TEST, June 1, 2023, virtual, 5:00 pm ET

Update, 3:50 pm ET:  They just changed the time to 5:00 pm ET.

Original Entry: At 3:00 pm ET today (June 1. 2023), NASA and Boeing announced they would hold a media telecon at 4:30 pm ET this afternoon with an update on the Crew Flight Test of Boeing’s Starliner commercial crew spacecraft. The launch is currently targeted for July 21.

Participants in the telecon are:

  • Steve Stich, manager, NASA’s Commercial Crew Program
  • Joel Montalbano, manager, NASA’s International Space Station Program
  • Mark Nappi, vice president and program manager, CST-100 Starliner, Boeing

The telecon will be livestreamed on NASA Live.

Last week, NASA’s Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel urged NASA to conduct an independent review of Starliner before launching CFT.  NASA and Boeing issued a blog postthe next day saying Starliner will launch only when ready, but did not directly address the ASAP report.
