NASA NEWS CONF ON PREPARATIONS FOR RETURN OF OSIRIS-REX, Aug 30, 2023, UTTR, Utah, ~5:00 pm ET

NASA will hold a news conference no earlier than 3:00 pm MOUNTAIN time (5:00 pm Eastern) on August 30, 2023, from DOD’s Utah Test and Training Range in northwestern Utah to discuss preparations for the return of samples from the asteroid Bennu by the OSIRIS-REx (O-REx) spacecraft. The sample canister will separate from the spacecraft and land at UTTR on September 24 after a 2.5 year journey. (The main spacecraft will continue on an extended mission to study the asteroid Apophis after it passes Earth in 2029.)
