Update, January 8: Yesterday, the spacewalk scheduled for today was postponed because a crew member is ill. Today, NASA announced they would return Crew-11 to Earth early and both spacewalks therefore are postponed indefinitely.
Update, January 5: NASA says this spacewalk will begin at 7:10 am ET and last about 6 hours and 30 minutes. Coverage begins at 5:40 am ET on NASA+, Amazon Prime, and NASA’s YouTube channel. Participants have not been revealed yet.
Original Entry: NASA astronauts will conduct two spacewalks in January 2026.
The first is on January 8 with Mike Fincke and Zena Cardman. The time was not announced as of January 4.
The second is on January 15. The participants and the time were not announced as of January 4.
NASA typically livestreams spacewalks on NASA+, but details were not provided in the December 29, 2025 press release. More information may be available from the January 6, 2026 press briefing, which will air on NASA’s YouTube channel at 2:00 pm ET.
