NEW DATE

NASA/SpX/ESA CREW-4 PRE-LAUNCH MEDIA TELECON, Apr 26, 2022, KSC/virtual, ~7:00 am ET

(NASA TV)

Update, April 25:  This now is scheduled for April 26 at 7:00 am ET or no earlier than one hour after completion of the Launch Readiness Review.  (The launch is now scheduled for April 27 at 3:52 am ET.)  The participants are the same. It will air live on NASA Television, the NASA app, and the agency’s website.

  • Steve Stich, manager, Commercial Crew Program, NASA Kennedy
  • Joel Montalbano, manager, International Space Station Program, NASA Johnson
  • Zeb Scoville, chief flight director, Flight Operations Directorate, NASA Johnson
  • Jessica Jensen, vice president, customer operations and integration, SpaceX
  • Josef Aschbacher, director general, ESA
  • Arlena Moses, launch weather officer, U.S. Space Force 45th Weather Squadron

Update, April 24:  NASA *tentatively* plans the post-LRR pre-launch media teleconference on April 25, 2022 at approximately 9:30 pm ET.

Update, April 23: High winds continue to delay the return of Axiom-1.  At the moment the launch of Crew-4 is planned for April 27 at 3:52 am ET. NASA didn’t specify when docking the Launch Readiness Review would take place.

Update, April 20: The launch of Crew-4 has been delayed because the return of the Axiom-1 private astronaut mission has been delayed due to weather.  Axiom-1 must depart the ISS before Crew-4 can arrive because they use the same docking port.  NASA and SpaceX want at least two days between Axiom-1’s splashdown and Crew-4’s launch.

At the moment, the earliest launch date for Crew 4 is April 26 at 4:15 am ET, but is subject to change. NASA did not announce when the LRR would take place to support that launch date.

Original Entry: NASA, SpaceX and ESA officials will hold a new conference at Kennedy Space Center on April 21, 2022 No Earlier Than (9:30 pm ET) or one hour following completion of the Launch Readiness Review (LRR) for the Crew-4 mission to the International Space Station.  Crew-4 is scheduled for launch on April 23.
