NASA/ULA BRIEFING ON THE LOFTID EXPERIMENT LAUNCHING ON JPSS-2, Oct 11, 2022, virtual, 1:00 pm ET

NASA and the United Launch Alliance (ULA) will hold a briefing on October 11, 2022 at 1:00 pm ET via WebEx to discuss the upcoming launch of the Low-Earth Orbit Flight Test of an Inflatable Decelerator (LOFTID) technology demonstration that will rideshare with the JPSS-2 weather satellite scheduled for launch on November 1, 2022 on ULA’s Atlas V rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base.
LOFTID briefing participants are:
- Trudy Kortes, director of Technology Demonstrations, Space Technology Mission Directorate, NASA Headquarters
- Joe Del Corso, LOFTID project manager, NASA’s Langley Research Center
- John DiNonno, LOFTID chief engineer, NASA Langley
- John Reed, ULA chief technologist
The meeting will take place over WebEx, NOT on the agency’s website. It “will be recorded and made available online after the event” according to NASA’s press release.
