Update, February 28: The meeting has been canceled.
No reason was given for the cancellation, but yesterday the Trump Administration directed layoffs of 880 NOAA employees as part of the DOGE effort to reduce the size of government.
Original Entry: NOAA’s Advisory Committee on Excellence in Space (ACES) will meet on March 5, 2025 at the Department of Commerce, 1401 Constitution Ave, NW, Washington, DC from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm ET. In-person participation is limited to committee members and Department of Commerce personnel. The public may participate virtually.

ACTION: Notice of meeting. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY: In accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act, as amended, the NOAA Office of Space Commerce announces the second meeting of the Advisory Committee on Excellence in Space (ACES). Agenda: The meeting will include discussions on topics pertinent to commercial space policy, regulation, and operational mission support, including commercial space mission authorization and supervision and space sustainability.
