March 4 webinar to provide overview of NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center
The webinar, hosted by the American Meteorological Society, is open to members of the media and the public. Contact Erica Grow Cei, erica.grow.cei@noaa.gov, (202)853-6088 February 25, 2025 On March 4, NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center will provide an overview of the impactful types of space weather that have occurred during this period of solar maximum in Solar Cycle 25. Methods for finding information about space weather conditions and operational forecasts will also be discussed. Reporters are invited to attend and ask questions. NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center monitors the sun around the clock for space weather activity and notifies core partners of storms and their potential impacts before they arrive– supporting the National Weather Service’s mission of saving lives, protecting property, and enhancing the national economy. Empowering people with information to prepare and take action is key to NOAA’s effort to build a Weather-Ready Nation.
