PORT RELOCATION OF SPX CREW-8 DRAGON, May 2, 2024, Earth orbit, 7:45-8:28 am ET
Event Navigation
Update, April 27: The NASA TV schedule now shows this as May 2, same time.
Update, April 26: The port relocation cannot take place until the SpX-30 cargo spacecraft departs and frees the zenith port for Crew-8. That has been delayed from April 26 to no earlier than April 28 due to poor weather in the splashdown zone. NASA has not announced a revised date, but it seems likely to change.
Original Entry: On April 30, 2024, the four ISS crew members using the SpaceX Crew-8 spacecraft for transportation to and from the ISS will board the spacecraft to move it from one port to another to make room for the Boeing Starliner test flight scheduled for May 6.
They will move it from the forward port of the Harmony module to the zenith port, redocking at 8:28 am ET.
Such port relocations are routine, but in case anything might go awry and they could not redock, for example, all the spacecraft’s crew members have to be aboard so they could return to Earth.
NASA TV will provide live coverage beginning at 7:30 am ET.
