The U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission will hold a hearing on May 4, 2023 in SD-406 Dirksen Senate Office Building from 9:30 am-3:40 pm ET on “Rule by Law: China’s Increasingly Global Legal Reach.”
Brian Weeden, Director of Program Planning for the Secure World Foundation, is one of the witnesses on a panel discussing “The CCP’s Violation of International Laws and Norms.”
The Commission was created by Congress in 2000 “with the legislative mandate to monitor, investigate, and submit to Congress an annual report on the national security implications of the bilateral trade and economic relationship between the United States and the People’s Republic of China, and to provide recommendations, where appropriate, to Congress for legislative and administrative action.”
