George Washington University’s Space Policy Institute will hold a hybrid seminar on May 5, 2023 from 3:00-4:30 pm ET.

The topic is “Japanese Space Policy in Transition” and features Motoko Mizuno, a member of Japan’s Diet [parliament] and formerly worked at JAXA.

The meeting will take place in-person at GW’s Elliott School of International Affairs, 1957 E Street, NW, Washington, DC and online.

More information and registration instructions are on the event’s website, which says:

Ms. Mizuno was recently elected to the House of Councillors, part of the upper house of the Japanese Diet. Her remarks will cover current Japanese space policy and activities, and challenges for JAXA as Japan increases the range and scope of its space activities.
