SASC HRG ON EXPECTED NOMINATION OF PETE HEGSETH TO BE SECRETARY OF DEFENSE, Jan 14, 2025, DC, 9:30 am ET

The Senate Armed Services Committee will hold a hearing on the expected nomination of Pete Hegseth to be Secretary of  Defense on January 14, 2025 at 9:30 am ET in G50 Dirksen Senate Office Building.  The hearing will be webcast on the committee’s website.

President-elect Trump has announced his intention to nominate Hegseth be Secretary of Defense, but cannot formally nominate him until he takes office on January 20.  Senate rules allow hearings to be held on expected nominations in advance of the inauguration so they can be confirmed in a timely manner.
