SASC NOMINATION HRG FOR LISA PORTER TO BE DEPUTY USD/R&E, May 10, 2018, DC, 9:30 am ET (webcast)

The Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) will hold a hearing on May 10, 2018 at 9:30 am ET in 216 Hart Senate Office Building to consider five nominations for positions at DOD.

One of those is Lisa Porter to be Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (DUSD/R&E).  Porter was NASA’s Associate Administrator for Aeronautics during part of Mike Griffin’s term as Administrator.  Griffin is now USD/R&E.  After leaving NASA, she was Director of the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Agency (IARPA) and Executive Vice President of In-Q-Tel and director of IQT labs.
