STARLINER CFT POST-LANDING NEWS CONF, Sept 7, 2024, JSC, 1:30 am ET

NASA will hold a news conference on September 7, 2024 at 1:30 am ET from the Johnson Space Center following the landing of the Starliner Crew Flight Test (CFT) at White Sands, NM, scheduled for 12:03 am ET.

Starliner is returning to Earth empty because of concerns about its propulsion system. The two astronauts it delivered to the ISS, Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams, will remain on the ISS and become part of the next regular crew rotation, returning with other Crew-9 members in February 2025.

The post-landing news conference will air on NASA+, the NASA appYouTube, and the agency’s website.

  • Steve Stich, manager, Commercial Crew Program, NASA Kennedy Space Center in Florida
  • Dana Weigel, manager, International Space Station, NASA Johnson
  • John Shannon, vice president, Boeing Exploration Systems
  • Mark Nappi, vice president and program manager, Boeing Commercial Crew Program
