Update, May 12, 2022: Launch is now scheduled for May 19, 2022 at 6:54 pm ET.
The post-launch press conference is scheduled May 19 at approximately 9:00 pm ET and will air live on NASA Television, the NASA app, and the agency’s website.
Participants are:
- Kathryn Lueders, associate administrator, NASA Space Operations Mission Directorate
- Steve Stich, manager, NASA’s Commercial Crew Program
- Joel Montalbano, manager, NASA’s International Space Station Program
- Mark Nappi, vice president and program manager, Boeing Commercial Crew Program
- John Elbon, chief operating officer, United Launch Alliance

Update, August 13, 2021: The launch has been postponed indefinitely.
Update August 3, 10:35 am ET: The launch has been scrubbed for today.
Update, July 31: NASA confirms the new launch date/time is August 3 at 1:20 pm ET. The post-launch press conference will be APPROXIMATELY 3:30 pm ET. Participants are:
- Steve Stich, manager, NASA’s Commercial Crew Program.
- TBD, NASA’s International Space Station Program.
- John Vollmer, vice president and program manager, Boeing Commercial Crew Program.
- John Elbon, chief operating officer, United Launch Alliance.
Update, July 29: The OFT-2 launch was postponed due to difficulties with the docking of Russia’s Nauka module today. The new tentative launch date is August 3. We will update this entry when we have more information.
Original Entry: If launch of Boeing’s Orbital Flight Test-2 (OFT-2) of its uncrewed Starliner spacecraft takes place as planned on July 30 at 2:53 pm ET, a post-launch press conference will take place that day at approximately 4:00 pm ET.
Representatives of NASA, Boeing, and the United Launch Alliance will participate.
