VIRGIN GALACTIC’S FIRST PRIVATE ASTRONAUT FLIGHT, Aug 10, 2023, New Mexico (livestream begins 11:00 am ET)

Update, August 6: The flight is still scheduled for August 10 and company’s website says the livestream will begin at 11:00 am ET.  Check that website for up to date information.

Original Entry: Virgin Galactic is targeting August 10, 2023 for its first private astronaut flight, Galactic-02.  The company achieved its first commercial flight on June 29 (Galactic-01), but the passengers were Italian government employees (two Italian Air Force officers and a scientist from Italy’s National Research Council).

This commercial flight is for private citizens. The passenger list was not released on July 13 when the company announced the launch date.

SpaceShipTwo — the VMS Eve aircraft and Unity spaceship — takes off from Spaceport America in New Mexico.  The company said the mission will be livestreamed. Liftoff time was not provided but these flights typically take place in the morning.
