ISPACE LIVESTREAM FOR HAKUTO-R VENTURE MOON LAUNCH, Jan 15, 2025, begins 12:20 am ET

Japanese lunar lander company ispace will provide a livestream for the launch of its SMBC x HAKUTO-R Venture Moon mission on January 15, 2025 beginning at 2:20 pm Japan Standard Time (12:20 am Eastern Standard Time).
The launch on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Kennedy Space Center is scheduled for 1:11 am EST. ispace’s livestream will cover through deployment of the Hakuto-R lander, Resilience, and micro-rover, Tenacious, from the Falcon 9. Participants include:
- Takeshi Hakamada, CEO & Founder, ispace, inc.
- Yoshitsugu Hitachi, EVP of ispace, inc.
- Masayuki Urata, Senior Manager, Business Development, ispace, inc.
- Special Guest: Former JAXA Astronaut
The livestream will be available in English and Japanese.
ispace is ridesharing with Firefly’s Blue Ghost lunar lander. The two will launch on the same Falcon 9 rocket, but otherwise are unrelated. Firefly’s lander is part of NASA’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) initiative and NASA and SpaceX will be livestreaming the launch for Firefly’s mission.
