PRE-LAUNCH INTERVIEWS WITH SERENA AUÑÓN-CHANCELLOR, May 15, 2018, Star City, Russia, 8:00 am ET (webcast)

NASA astronaut Serena Auñón-Chancellor will be available for a last round of media interviews before she launches to the International Space Station on Soyuz MS-09 on June 6, 2018.

The interviews will take place at Star City, Russia on May 15, 2018 beginning at 8:00 am ET and will air on NASA TV and the agency’s website.

This is Auñón-Chancellor’s first flight.  She joined the astronaut corps in 2009.  Previously she was a NASA flight surgeon and served as the deputy lead for medical operations for NASA’s Orion spacecraft.  She has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a doctorate in medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston’s McGovern Medical School.
