SENATE COMMERCE CMTE (second) VOTE ON ISAACMAN NOMINATION, Dec 8, 2025, DC, 5:30 pm ET (webcast)

Update, December 8, 5:45 pm ET:  The livestream link is not working.  Just called the committee and they apologize because their press release was in error and they never planned to livestream it. (The meeting isn’t taking place in the committee’s hearing room.)  A press release will be issued later.

Update, December 8:  The committee just announced a room change.  It will take place in S-207, the Mansfield Room, not in S-216.

Original Entry: The Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee will vote — for a second time — on the nomination of Jared Isaacman to be NASA Administrator on December 8, 2025 at 5:30 pm ET.  Isaacman’s nomination is one of eight that will be considered.

The meeting is tentatively planned to take place in S-216, The President’s Room. Check the committee’s website for up to date information.

The meeting will be webcast on the committee’s website and YouTube channel.

The committee approved (19-9) Isaacman’s nomination on April 30, 2025, but President Trump withdrew the nomination on May 31 after a falling out with Elon Musk, who recommended Isaacman. Trump reinstated the nomination last month. A second nomination hearing will take place on December 3 prior to this committee vote.
