Original Entry: Vice President Mike Pence, who serves as chairman of the White House National Space Council, will make remarks at Kennedy Space Center (KSC) on July 20, 2019. That is the 50th anniversary of when Apollo 11 astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong landed on the Moon. They and Mike Collins launched from KSC’s Launch Complex-39A on July 16, 1969.
Pence will speak at the Neil Armstrong Operations and Checkout Building at KSC at 12:30 pm ET.
The Orion capsule, being built by Lockheed Martin to take astronauts back to the Moon and beyond, is in that building.
