Got An "Ambitious Yet Achievable" Scientific Goal? DARPA Wants to Know

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) wants to hear from people who have “ambitious yet achieveable goals that capture the public’s imagination and that harness innovation and breakthroughs in science and technology.”

DARPA issued a Request for Information (RFI) today in conjunction with the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) for “Grand Challenges in the 21st Century.”   Citing the Apollo program and mapping of the human genome as examples, they are seeking “clear, identifiable” goals that can serve as a “‘North Star’ to provide focus and cohesion among disparate but potentially complementary research and development efforts.”

Instructions on how to respond to the RFI and more details are on the FedBizOpps website.
