House Passes Senate Version of Indemnification, INKSNA, Exploration Bill

The House just passed H.R. 6586 as amended by the Senate as the Space Exploration Sustainability Act.

The Senate version extends the FAA’s authority to indemnify launches against certain third party claims for one year, provides NASA relief from some provisions of the Iran, North Korea, Syria Nonproliferation Act (INKSNA), and expresses the sense of Congress that NASA not take money from the SLS/Orion programs to pay for commercial crew and vice versa.

The bill passed the House at 12:38 pm ET by unanimous consent, without debate.

The bill now must go the President for signature.
